This book is a must have for kc fans!The pictures are unique and the book keeps your attention.It tells about when the chiefs were a very tough team to beat but also about the darkest moments in chiefs history.

I did not actually see this product, as it was a gift for someone else. However, this is what I can say: It arrived quickly during a busy holiday season. I ordered it somewhat late and it arrived prior to Christmas Eve, which was a huge relief. The recipient loved it and wondered where I found such a unique gift! (It is not in bookstores in this part of CA!) Due to those reasons I give this product and seller 5 stars!

A must have for Chiefs' fans. A nice compliment to this book is SUPER CHIEFS. One of the great things about Good, Bad & Ugly is how much information is packed into the pages. The stories are well-written, and the reading smooth.

An excellent book, both for the traveler and the believer. It's definitely written from an Evangelical Christian perspective (i'm guessing Baptists will love this book!), which I as a Catholic found a bit overbearing. Nonetheless, the author's heart and love make this an indispensable guide to the Holy Land. It was the best book by far for my Jerusalem and Bethlehem voyages.

I found it quite Interesting to follow this author's descriptions as he walked the paths that Jesus and his disciples walked. I did notice that many of the biblical places have changed a lot compared to when Jesus walked them as described in the bible. I wonder if I would be disappointed to see Jerusalem and the other places that is so different to how I see them visualized by the scriptures. I like the times and places as I picture them from the bible.

Great book except Be Aware: "Image not included because of rights restrictions." There are NO photos in the kindle edition! This really takes away from the experience of the book. Would not purchase again unless paperback/ hardcover.

Of the books I rounded up to get me ready for traveling to Israel, this one was by far the best fit for my expectations. I loved Wayne Stiles' style of writing. It was like a journal with amusing commentary mixed with historical background and important details. But the most valuable part was the way he wove in the scripture pertinent to the locations and its implications. I found myself deeply moved by the provocative teaching that makes each location spiritually significant. My appetite was whetted for the journey to the Holy Land, from which I have just returned. I now plan to REREAD the book for even more information and inspiration.

From the description you get the idea that this will be a helpful guide to plan a trip to see Biblical sights in Israel. I did not find this to be the case.While he did present some interesting thoughts from Scripture and his experiences in the Holy Land, the book is more of a devotional than a travel guide. That is why my rating is lower.As some have mentioned, you may really enjoy reading this after your trip as a method of reflection.

Wayne, after reading your articles in the Jerusalem Post about various sites in Israel, I realized that I needed to purchase your book. Now I know Israel; I came from the USA to Israel in 1977 and have lived here ever since. Your descriptions of the various places, as well as the related spiritual insights as we "travelled" along were informative, inspiring and challenging. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves the Bible, the land of Israel and all related to both of them. And your humor had my husband and I smiling if not laughing. During my sophomore or junior year in high school, my parents and I took advantage of an opportunity to tour the Holy Land, Egypt and Amman for 15 days. It is my greatest and deepest regret. Many times I have prayed for another such opportunity to visit Israel in the hopes of revisiting the hallowed ground and to journal my experiences there.As Wayne Stiles states in his introduction, this is NOT a chronological journal of the entire itinerary of Christ's life. Instead, it is one man's writings of his impressions, encouragement and challenges as he walks in Christ's footsteps and how He impacted those around Him during His ministry. Throughout the book, Stiles encourages us, the readers, with powerful words of wisdom, including his own personal experiences, lightly seasoned with good-hearted humor. You also get a glimpse into the heart and mind of the author as he challenges himself in his own relationship with Christ.

I had the opportunity of taking a group to the holy land and found out about Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus and purchased a copy to help prepare for the trip. I was so impressed with the book that I ordered one for each person accompanying me on the trip.A great book for devotional use and also for information and a great asset during the trip.

The storyline picks up where book 1 left off. It takes time to unravel this story and Tracie Peterson does a good job of it. Some parts are slow, but worth it in the long run. I hope to see more of George in book 3. I agree with another post, there are a few loose ends- Ned and Portia, hopefully they are also addressed in book 3.

I chose to rate this book with a 4 because yes it is a very good book but because it is part of a series some parts are left out. two I noticed was 1. Zane went back to be court martialed and gave this great speech but you have to guess at the results. 2. Portia and Ned got married and then they disappeared. unless something is written in the next book it left you hanging. I do love the way Tracie is able to write with a spiritual maturity that has me bookmarking pages to be able to go back and be inspired again. I recommend this book to believers in Christ as well as nonbelievers in hopes that they will be led to believe.

The Coming Storm is book 2 of Tracie Peterson's Heirs of Montana Series. It becomes a MUST READ as book 1 leaves you hanging. One has to get book 2! And then, Ms Peterson skillfilly re-introduces certain characters into the plot so that the reader eagerly follows this book through to the end. The historical evidence of this era leaves one thankful that we didn't live during the time of settling the country as a homesteader. Prejudices are also skillfully portrayed between races and classes, leaving the reader thankful for the freedoms and acceptance generally given today. Kudos to Ms Peterson for this series presenting history and clean yet enticing romance.

Although I enjoyed this book, I’m not giving it a higher rating because I feel that Tracie Peterson fell short in presenting the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, by intentionally omitting His name, and only referring to God in general terms. That was disappointing to me, although the story was well-written.

I finally collected most of her books so now i get to read and enjoy! I got hooked on several of her books and i compare them with Karen Kingsbury and Beverly Lewis. good clean, Christian, romantic and funny books. with a message which is so important to me! You can't go wrong with any of Tracie's books! I only buy from Amazon.com and they are much better then the so called wholesale Christian book places, no shipping you can't lose! Enjoy! After the wagon train journey comes to an end and life begins anew....there are more trials and tragedies to be faced by the Chadwick's and their extended family and friends. One does not want to put the book down for fear of not getting to the next part quickly....Love the way Tracie Peterson lays out a story and all of research she puts into a story, to make one feel what the characters are actually feeling and going through.

Tough times for both Cole & Dianne......Cole is late in returning & Dianne is worried he will never come home...all Cole wants is to get back to Dianne. In the hands of the Indians, & a man who also loves Dianne, Cole wonders if he ever will. With her uncles death Dianna's worry over Cole, the ranch & her aunt & nephew weigh heavy on her heart. Faith in God & his will give them hope.....& love for each other & love & trust in God give them both the strength to hang on........

received this book today - this book is also a used one as the corner of the first page is torn so one could not see that someone else had read it - i have been charged for a new book and i feel i should get some kind of refund - i want to keep the book - what will be done about this one too - the other two in the series look okay

If you have seen the Jack Reacher movie, or have read many of the books, there is a blip in an otherwise really good track record for Reacher. Someone that looks at his background usually makes a comment about his being busted from a Major to a Captain, and then working his way back up.Well, this is a prequel book that takes a look at a case that Reacher had while still in the Army. All is not right when people start to drop dead from murders. They become connected, and then Reacher has to chase leads all across the globe while members of the Army try to cover it up.This is a really good read. He doesn't get into as many fights as he does in some other books. This one is more of a police story rather than most of his other stories of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This is my second time through the Jack Reacher series; The Enemy is without question his finest hour. Reacher's finest hour, and Lee Child's masterpiece.Everything we love about Reacher is here: his stoicism, his realism, his (almost) complete control of the world around him, with some violence and sex and Wild West justice thrown in to a terrific whodunnit.But in The Enemy, Reacher is vulnerable. We see his weakness, his loss, and somewhere deep down, his loneliness. This book is the context for the whole series.Kudos, Mr. Child, for this wonderful book. I'm left wondering: who is the enemy?

The Enemy by Lee Child is a Jack Reacher novel that goes back to a time before Major Reacher left the army. He is a Military Police officer assigned to investigate the death of a two-star general in a motel in North Carolina. The case becomes complicated when the general’s briefcase is discovered missing and his wife’s body is found at another location. Reacher clashes with officers above him in the chain of commands and uses his brains and his physical strength to uncover serious corruption. Reacher was sort of a genius figuring out the solution. But two things I did not like: a) Child spends way too much in some stories that have little to do with the main plot.And b) and this is the worst, this book happens evidently in a time previous to some of the previous books. Some of the characters in this book had already died in previous books. I've been reading these books in order, only to find this reverse sequence.

I checked out Lee Childs site and found that The Enemy was a prequel to his first book and decided that I would start with the prequels. I enjoyed the read. I find that often times the prequels, since they are actually written after the first books that they are better founded, better written. The writer develops the character over time and I was not proven wrong. It was well written. The characters were well developed. The conversations flowed and the ideas followed a logical sequence. There was no "say whaaa???" moments. It was just a good solid read.

The Affair was such a much better book that this was a disappointment. I like to read a series in order but since The Affair arrived earlier and they are each while Reacher is in the Army, I decided to read The Affair first. Glad I did or I'd never have read this book. The part I enjoyed was about his mother and brother. There were parts that I didn't enjoy because it seemed out of his character--even within the book.

The Tom Cruise movie was enjoyable, but I didn't realize there were fans ticked-off that the dark-haired, 5-foot-7-inch actor portrayed the dirty-blond, 6-foot-5-inch hero until I stumbled upon a Lee Child interview in the October 2012 Playboy magazine. Heck, I didn't even know who Jack Reacher was, let alone that there were nineteen novels about the guy. Nineteen novels! Holy moly, I was clearly arriving late to the whole Jack Reacher phenomenon. One of the web sites listed them in the sequence they were first published as well as in chronological order. The 8th published (2004) novel, "The Enemy," is really the 1st Jack Reacher adventure. The 16th published (2011) work is Reacher's 2nd adventure. After that, the rest of the novels, beginning with "Killing Floor," are in chronological as well as published order. Go ahead. Go get some aspirin for the headache this is causing you. I'll wait.Mr. Child has created an edgy hero who seems like an amalgamation of Mr. Spock and Dirty Harry. He's also quite the cynic, a loner, smart, and knows how to kick some serious butt when HE feels it's necessary. I'd bet dollars to donuts that most guys reading Mr. Child's books secretly wish they were Jack Reacher. Despite the film-noir tone, there is quite a bit of amusing wordplay and, surprisingly, no profanity in the thing. A great mystery is one in which the author effectively uses misdirection to keep the reader guessing. I've read more challenging mysteries, but there were enough surprises, action, and mounting tension to keep me glued to "The Enemy." Rarely, do I continue reading a book series, but in this case, "The Affair" (#16 but really #2) is the next novel on my list.

Where do I begin describing this literary work. After whizzing through the Amazon sample, I was yearning to read the next page. I had a small inconvenience with downloading on my iPad, but a short email discourse with customer service quickly resolved it.This is my first Jack Reacher novel and I wanted to read the series in chronological order, so this was the suggested first. This book was a page turner, I couldn’t put it down, I kept wondering what was coming next. As the plot unraveled, my excitement and curiosity were at euphoric levels.I’m a military guy and some things that were spelled out, didn’t need to be but I understood that not every reader shares my background. I could go on, but I think it’s better to see for yourself :)
