This entire book is made up of practice tests, but when I looked at the reading section before starting, I saw how the questions were distributed. 52 questions (when there are supposed to be 47) and 9 passages (when there are supposed to be 5). There were no Command of Evidence questions and hardly any Inference questions (the hardest types of questions for me) . Then on writing, there were 5 passages of 9 questions each when there are supposed to be 4 passages of 11 questions each. The only types of questions they offered were grammar, not Sentence Organization, Deletion, or Word Choice questions (again, the only types of questions that are hard for me).

Ok. Has mistakes in it. Some problems missing. Will go 13, 14, 16, 18.

The page 19 the book contains a classical blood libel mentioned in the Canterbury tales: the ritualistic killing an innocent child by Jews. It appears as an example in the punishment vs reward theme which to me sounds like a classical antisemitism. I already posted this review earlier here, but it has mysteriously disappeared. I wonder why?

This book does not follow PSAT format

Great for my daughter if preparing for SATs...we do a little each night. Explanations of answers are helpful.

Easy to use and don’t regret getting for my daughter

This study guide was great for last minute cramming and I love how easily it was to navigate through it. It helped a lot.

First of all, I liked the test taking tips at the beginning of the book, because they are some of the same tips I used to give my students to prepare them for taking standardized tests.The reading passages were challenging and quite varied. I thought the questions involved deeper thinking skills and were very discerning.The math questions were difficult, but I felt they will prepare students for their SATs.The writing and language texts will definitely separate the good writers from the poor ones, because students will have to know correct grammar, punctuation and sentence structure.I think that having 3 practice tests will allow the students to gain more confidence as they progress through each one and hopefully get more astute at taking them.Finally, I like the fact that students can order a free DVD which offers test taking tips. It will appeal to those who are visual and aural learners.
